Atomic Structure

Atomic structure is basically the structure of an atom, with a proton, neutron and electron. It is quite simple, and I understood the concept fairly quickly. There are also radioactive isotopes, one of the more interesting atoms, which when the nuclei is split large amount of energy is produced.

My reflection
After learning on atomic structures, I really wished I could make an atom bigger so that I can see what electrons, neutrons and protons are actually made of and how it functions. Ms Nada said that so far scientist have not discovered any practical use of the neutron, but know that there must be something to it. I really hope they could find out what faster, it could mean even more possibilities in technology. Sometimes, science just excites you so much, it is so broad but yet you want to find out the answer to everything. When I retire, I want to research on tiny atoms but stars and black holes excite me too, not to mention fascinating cells, viruses and bacteria, and all the things from science fiction movies like flying cars and teleporting. It seems like science still has a long way to go.
